EdUHK Debuts at 195th Place in THE World University Rankings
EdUHK is proud to announce its debut in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, released on 9 October 2025 in its 2026 edition. EdUHK’s first-ever THE ranking is 195th in the world, placing the University in the top 10% globally among 2,191 institutions worldwide, and sixth in Hong Kong. This significant milestone underscores EdUHK’s rising prominence as a leader in education and multidisciplinary research, driven by its steadfast commitment to academic excellence, innovative teaching, and impactful global contributions. EdUHK Holds Flag-Raising Ceremony Celebrating the 76th National Day
In celebration of the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, EdUHK held a flag-raising ceremony on 1 October 2025 on its Tai Po campus. Attendees at the ceremony included Counsellor Wang Jian, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences of the Commissioner’s Office of China’s Foreign Ministry in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, EdUHK Council Chairman Dr David Wong Yau-kar, Deputy Chairman Professor Terence Chan Ho-wah, President Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, senior management, faculty, staff, students and alumni, as well as Mr Ronald Chan, Founding President of The Greater Bay Area Education Integrative Development Think Tank, and other distinguished guests. EdUHK Advance Global Collaboration at THE World Academic Summit 2025
EdUHK participated as a content partner in the Times Higher Education (THE) World Academic Summit 2025, held from 7 to 9 October 2025 at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia. Themed ‘Universities as Agents of Progress’, the summit was attended by over 700 global university leaders, researchers, policymakers, and industry experts to explore the role of higher education in fostering innovation, regional connectivity, and societal impact.
