EdUHK Holds Topping-Out Ceremony for New Academic Building A New Milestone for the New Year

EdUHK held a topping-out ceremony for the New Academic Building on 24 January on its Tai Po campus, marking a new milestone in the development of the University. The new building will incorporate technological applications for “Education Futures”, focusing on advancing fields such as STEM and AI education. This further enhances EdUHK’s role in driving educational innovation and preparing for diversified opportunities to take the University to new heights. Read more

EdUHK Welcomes Central China Normal University: Promoting the Global Alliance of Educational Leaders and Department Heads (GAELDH) and Bilateral Collaboration

EdUHK hosted Professor Peng Shuangjie, President of the Central China Normal University, and his delegation on 7 January to review the first conference of GAELDH, to set preparations into motion for the upcoming conference of GAELDH in Wuhan, and to deepen collaboration between the two universities. EdUHK Hosts the "2025 Annual Conference of the Global Chinese Academy for Science Education Research"

EdUHK hosted the 2025 Conference of the Global Chinese Academy for Science Education Research on its Tai Po campus from 3 to 4 January. The theme of the conference is “Sustainable Science Education: Shaping a Brighter Future” with experts in science education from both local and international spheres having been invited to discuss the latest advancements in science education research and reform. It has attracted over 400 experts, scholars, teachers, and educational researchers from around the world. Read more

EdUHK Rugby Sevens Team Achieves Outstanding Performance in the USFHK Rugby Sevens Competition 2024-2025

The University Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China’s Rugby Sevens competition concluded on 5 January. EdUHK women’s team won the 1st runner-up. The competition continues the proud tradition of the EdUHK Women’s Rugby Sevens team, who were champions in 2021-2022 and 2022-2023, and this is the ninth consecutive year that they have finished in the top two in the competition, fully demonstrating the strength of EdUHK’s rugby team and its relentless pursuit of sports. EdUHK Holds 2025 New Year’s Day National Flag-Raising Ceremony

EdUHK held a flag-raising ceremony on its Tai Po campus on 1 January. The ceremony brought together the University’s management, faculty, teachers and students. The Flag-Raising Team, comprising students from the University hoisted the national, regional and university flags. All guests, teachers, and students faced the national flag and stood solemnly while singing the anthem in unison. Read more | Watch the video

The EdUHK Alumni Homecoming 2025 organised by the AADO will take place on 22 March 2025 (Saturday) at the Tai Po campus. A variety of exciting activities, including the Egg Hunt Carnival, booths for cupcake decorating, snacks and games, as well as guided tours. EdUHK Hosts Alumni Reunion Dinner

AADO held the ‘EdUHK Alumni Reunion Dinner’ at its Tai Po Campus on 17 January, gathering nearly 80 alumni and guests from both mainland China and Hong Kong with University management and faculty. In his welcome speech, Vice-President (Administration) Dr Tom Fong Wing-ho highlighted the achievements of EdUHK in educational development, academic research, campus expansion, and enhancement of administrative services. He also expressed gratitude to the alumni associations and alumni for their unfailing support and love. Read more

Held by AADO on 11 January, the Chinese New Year Food Workshop for alumni went successfully! Under the guidance of the professional instructor Rex, all participants made two types of festive treats — 'Turnip Cake' and 'Lion Pineapple Shortcake', bringing an extra touch of joy to the celebration!
