Celebrating 30 Years of Teacher Education Heritage: United, We Are Ready for the Future of Education in Hong Kong!

EdUHK held its 30th Anniversary gala dinner on 23 November, bringing together around 2,000 distinguished guests to witness this historic moment for the University. In this video, colleagues and students from EdUHK, alumni from EdUHK, the former Hong Kong Institute of Education and five former colleges of education, along with esteemed community figures, share their cherished memories and heartwarming stories, reflecting on the rich legacy of education that EdUHK has built over the years. EdUHK Team Wins QS Reimagine Education Bronze Award

EdUHK project Centre of Excellence in Higher Education Teaching and Learning Innovations, led by EdUHK’s Co-Director of the Global Institute for Emerging Technologies, Professor Lim Cher-ping, has won the Bronze Award in the Power of Partnership category at the prestigious QS Reimagine Education Awards. This recognition highlighted the project's focus on collaboration and innovation to enhance quality, equity and efficiency in education. Read more

EdUHK Community Drives Global Dialogue on the Future of Education

EdUHK is committed to fostering international collaboration and educational development. EdUHK reaffirmed such dedication through its active support for the Global University Presidents & Leaders Summit 2024 by holding a session titled “Demographic Change and Education in Future” on 3 December. The discussion focused on how shifts in birth rates and population demographics impact education, while exploring innovative strategies for future learning environments. Read more

EdUHK Holds Shenzhen-Hong Kong Principals' Forum to Foster Development towards a Leading Country in Education

EdUHK held the “Shenzhen-Hong Kong Principals’ Forum” on EdUHK's Tai Po campus on 3 December, with the theme of “Cultivating Principal Leadership in the Context of a Leading Country in Education”. The forum explored how to develop the leadership skills of principals to build a leading country in education. Read more

EdUHK Co-organises Greater Bay Area Career Planning Development Conference Promotes Career Planning Education for Greater Bay Area

On 10 December, EdUHK co-hosted the “Hong Kong Students Greater Bay Area Career Planning Development Conference.” The event provided a platform for teachers to exchange ideas, enhance their knowledge, and support integrating Hong Kong's education sector into the Greater Bay Area, promoting lifelong learning and talent development. Great Turnout of Alumni at the EdUHK 30th Anniversary Banquet

Nearly 300 alumni across generations and colleges, including five former colleges of education, The Hong Kong Institute of Education and The Education University of Hong Kong, attended the 30th Anniversary Banquet on 23 November. In addition to greeting and reconnecting with each other, these alumni congratulated their alma mater on its milestone anniversary, having witnessed the University’s achievements and developments over the years while looking forward to the future. 【Activity Highlights】Christmas Baking Workshop

Held by AADO on 14 December, the Christmas Baking Workshop for alumni was a success! Ms Yip Pui-yin, an EdUHK alumna and the Silver Medalist of Women‘s Badminton at the Asian Games, also participated in it. Under the guidance of the professional instructor Oscar, all participants managed to craft a delicate and delicious “Christmas Gingerbread House & Blackcurrant Chocolate Cake” to be shared with their loved ones. Congratulations to the graduates

Happy Graduation! Following the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (FLASS), the graduation ceremonies of the Graduate School (GS), the Faculty of Humanities (FHM), and the Faculty of Education and Human Development (FEHD) were also held successfully. Graduates and their families visited our booth to learn more about the university’s achievements and captured happy moments at our photo corner. On December 20, the Sir Robert Black College of Education Past Students' Association held its annual general meeting, where members convened to discuss association affairs.
