EdUHK Holds Orientation Days President Encourages Freshmen to Seize Every Opportunity and Embrace Challenges

EdUHK held a two-day orientation event on 14 and 15 August on its Tai Po campus, attracting approximately 600 freshmen. President Professor John Lee Chi-Kin encouraged the students to learn from the spirit of perseverance and persistence demonstrated by athletes, to seize every opportunity university life offers, and to prepare themselves for future challenges. EdUHK Hosts ‘Heart-warming Figures in School’ Sharing Activity Celebrating the Selfless Dedication of Teachers and Staff

In celebration of its 30th anniversary, EdUHK has organised the ‘Heart-warming Figures in School’ sharing activity. Students from special schools, kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools across Hong Kong were invited to share stories of individuals within their schools who have touched their hearts with selfless dedication and care. ‘Heritage of Teacher Education in Hong Kong’ EdUHK Holds 30th Anniversary Exhibition

To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of EdUHK, ‘Heritage of Teacher Education in Hong Kong: An Exhibition Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of EdUHK’, was held from 10 August to 18 August. Through pictures, videos and historical data, the exhibition aims to enhance the public’s understanding of the educational heritage of EdUHK, which goes back over a century, as well as the development of education in Hong Kong. [30th Anniversary] Alumni Sharing

In the hundred years of glorious educational legacy since the days of the former government normal school, EdUHK has not only nurtured many outstanding talents in education and social sectors but has also witnessed their growth, leaving behind beautiful memories. Our alumni gave support to the “Alumni Sharing” by sharing their unforgettable memories of their time at the former colleges of education and EdUHK, their personal achievements and their wishes for the University, as well as providing some precious and meaningful photos. [Alumni Interview] The Entrepreneurial Journey of Alumnus Kelven Lit

Alumnus Kelven started his own business after graduation, capitalising on the knowledge he gained during his studies at EdUHK and the connections he made. After graduating from the Hong Kong Science Park’s Incubation Programme, Kelven has established and run businesses in various industries, served as a member of the Europe Committee of The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, and utilized his network in the business sector to actively create for contributing to the education sector. From Kelven’s sharing, we can realise the infinite possibilities of EdUHK alumni in their career development. Watch the video

[Highlights] Summer Dessert Workshop

Chilled desserts can relieve summer heat. The Alumni Affairs and Development Office organised a summer dessert workshop on 23 August. Under the guidance of a professional instructor Oscar, alumni participants made the refreshing and unique Coconut Hofan with Mango. Graduation Bear

Congratulations! To celebrate the special occasion of your graduation, EdUHK’s Alumni Affairs and Development Office has launched a “Graduation Bear Programme”.
