EdUHK Flag Raising Ceremony For the National Security Education Day

In support of the National Security Education Day, EdUHK held the National Flag Raising Ceremony on its Tai Po campus on 15 April. The Ceremony was attended by EdUHK Council members, President Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, the senior management, staff and students. Joining the ceremony were representatives of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the HKSAR; various Tai Po District Council Members, and secondary and primary school heads. EdUHK Confer Honorary Professorship on Hong Kong Cycling Team Former Head Coach Shen Jinkang and to Promote Cycling Sport with CAHK

The Hong Kong Cycling Team has achieved great results in domestic and international competitions, in which former head coach Shen Jinkang has played an integral role. EdUHK conferred an Honorary Professorship on Dr Shen Jinkang on 19 April, in recognition of his remarkable contribution to the development of sport in general and cycling in particular. Read more

EdUHK Develops Parent Education Resource Package through EDB Commission

The Centre of Child and Family Science (CCFS) of EdUHK has produced a comprehensive Parent Education Resource Package for Primary Schools, having been commissioned by The Education Bureau, with the aim of fostering parent education initiatives. The resource package was designed by a team led by Dr Ian Lam Chun-bun, Co-Director of the CCFS. Drawing on theory and research, the team selected various parenting skills to design parent education activity materials covering eight themes of positive parenting. Read more

As time goes by, EdUHK (formerly The Hong Kong Institute of Education) celebrates its glorious 30-year journey since the merger of the five former colleges of education. Alumni from different generations and professions congratulate their alma mater on its 30th anniversary and wish EdUHK continued success in its endeavours. 【Alumni Activities】 Xuelong 2 Visit

On 9 April, President Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, faculty members, students and alumni of EdUHK visited the nation’s first domestically built polar scientific research vessel, Xuelong 2. The visit included a close-up look at the advanced instruments and scientific research equipment, as well as exchanges with scientists to learn about China’s polar expeditions and scientific research achievements to understand more about our country's scientific research. 【Alumni Activities】1st Anniversary Celebration cum Greater Bay Area Alumni Career Networking Summit

The EdUHK Mainland Alumni Association organised the "1st Anniversary Celebration cum Greater Bay Area Alumni Career Networking Summit " in Shenzhen on 29 March. More than 200 mainland alumni gathered to exchange and share their career development, career planning and development trends of different industries. President Professor John Lee Chi-Kin was invited to meet with them and attend the dinner reception. Read more

【Alumni Activities】Rice Dumpling Making Workshop

AADO will organise a "Dragon Boat Festival Rice Dumpling Making Workshop". A professional instructor will guide participants to make two flavours of rice dumplings, including: Chinese Ham and Conpoy Rice Dumpling and Red Beans Paste with Mandarin Peel Rice Dumpling, to share the joy of making festive food items. The activity is free of charge and registration is welcome!
