Installation of EdUHK President, Honorary Doctorate Conferment and 30th Anniversary Launch Ceremony

EdUHK’s Century-old Education Heritage

With the approach of its 30th anniversary, EdUHK has announced the commencement of a year-long celebratory programme. Part of the programme will pay tribute to the tireless contribution made by generations of educators and revisit the educational heritage of EdUHK, which can be traced back to 1881, when the first Government Normal School was established. This video features the sharing by renowned historians Professor Lau Chi-pang, Dr Leung Cho-nga and Professor Joseph Ting Sun-pao, on the historical milestones and educational heritage of the University. EdUHK Thanksgiving Reception 2023

EdUHK held a thanksgiving reception on 20 November to express its gratitude to donors and partners for their unfailing support over the past year. On the same occasion, the University also recognised the awardees of the President’s Commendation Scheme. With the unfailing support from different sectors of the community, scholarships are awarded annually to outstanding students. In 2022/23, over 800 scholarships worth over HK$26 million were awarded. EdUHK President meets Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan

President Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, and Associate Vice-President (Internationalisation) Professor Lo Sing-kai, representing The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), met with Mr Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in Almaty recently. The purpose of the meeting was to explore possible collaboration between EdUHK and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Read more

EdUHK Wins First iENA 2023 Gold Medal

EdUHK has won four awards including its first-ever Gold Medal at the International Trade Fair “Ideas-Inventions-New Products” 2023, held in Nuremberg, Germany. EdUHK is the only university in Hong Kong to win gold at this year's event, making the University’s achievement particularly noteworthy. Dr Steve Mung Wai-yin, Research Assistant Professor of the Research and Development Office won the Gold Medal in the Safety category, with his pioneering ‘Fall Detection System for Smart City’. [Join us] 30th Anniversary Walkathon Fundraising and Education Day

The tag line for EdUHK’s 30th Anniversary is “Education ∙ Talent ∙ Virtue” (育才弘教　立德樹人). To share this joyful celebration, we are organising the “30th Anniversary Walkathon Fundraising and Education Day” on 27 January 2024 (Saturday) and would like to invite our alumni, staff, EdUHK students, secondary and primary students and the public to participate. AADO Photo Booth at Graduation Ceremonies

By tradition, AADO is setting up a photo booth on the podium level of Block B2 at the Tai Po campus on 2, 9 and 16 December respectively, providing instant photos, king-size photo frames and props for graduates to take photos with friends and family. EdUHK Graduation Bears are also available for purchase at our booth. What a memorable moment to capture on such a red-letter day! Read more
