EdUHK President’s Commendation Scheme Recognises Outstanding Students

EdUHK announced the President’s Commendation Scheme’s list of awardees for the 2022/23 academic year on 15 May. The scheme recognises students’ outstanding achievements in areas beyond academic studies. This year, five students received the President’s Commendation award – the highest level of recognition in the Scheme – for their distinguished performance over the past year in the areas of Arts and Culture, Community Service, Sports, and Innovation, Science and Technology; while another three were awarded the President’s Appreciation award. 25th Primary STEM Project Exhibition

EdUHK’s Department of Science and Environmental Studies and the Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development held the 25th Primary STEM Project Exhibition (PSPE) at the Hong Kong Central Library on 11 May. It was the first in-person PSPE in three years. Over 1,000 primary students and teachers from schools in the Greater Bay Area (including local schools) participated in the exhibition. Read more


 

Naming Ceremony of EdUHK Wofoo Foundation Dr Joseph Lee Football Field

EdUHK held a ceremony on 11 May to mark the naming of its football field on the Tai Po Campus as ‘Wofoo Foundation Dr Joseph Lee Football Field’, in recognition of Wofoo Foundation Chairman Dr Joseph Lee Chung-tak’s unwavering support for the University. The ceremony was attended by Acting Secretary for Education Mr Jeff Sze Chun-fai; Dr and Mrs Lee. Read more

 

EdUHK Partners with Huawei to Establish ICT Academy

EdUHK and Huawei Hong Kong have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly establish the ICT Academy, which will help nurture Information and Communications Technology (ICT) talent. Under the new collaboration framework, the two partner institutions will promote smart teaching through the employment of IT infrastructure, apply ICT technology in learning, teaching and management, and explore innovative applications of artificial intelligence technology in education.  Alumni activities and Updates

'Shine Together' Charity Drama

Last year, EdUHK launched a year-long campaign named ‘Shine Together’. The first event was a Charity Virtual Run, which concluded successfully with 400 participants from all walks of life joining in support of the meaningful cause. On 9-11 June this year, we will present a charity drama “A Kid Story” (Re-run) and raise funds for Project Aspire, which provides educational and support services to students with Asperger Syndrome / autism spectrum disorder.
