EdUHK Signs MOU with Peking University to Promote Academic Collaboration

EdUHK’s Graduate School and Peking University’s Graduate School of Education signed a partnership agreement to further their academic collaboration on various fronts. Under the new partnership, both universities will undertake scholarly exchange and research collaboration in the coming five years to facilitate inter-university research initiatives, and jointly organise academic conferences and professional training courses. Summer exchange opportunities will also be explored to broaden the horizons of students from the two universities. Read more

EdUHK Excellent Supporting Teacher Award Ceremony

EdUHK held its 8th Excellent Supporting Teacher Award Ceremony on 3 March 2023 to recognise the contribution of supporting teachers in guiding and inspiring the University’s prospective teachers. The event also highlighted the important role the former play as positive role models for future educators. This year, 126 Excellent Supporting Teachers were selected by EdUHK’s prospective teachers and school principals. Read more

Professor John Lee Reappointed as UNESCO Chair

EdUHK Vice President (Academic) and Provost Professor John Lee Chi-kin had been reappointed as UNESCO Chair in Regional Education Development and Lifelong Learning for another four years, on completion of his first term in 2023. Professor Lee will continue to make efforts in realising UNESCO’s priorities in areas such as life and values education, environmental education and intercultural education. Read more

Inaugural Partnership with HKSTP to Nurture Start-up Entrepreneurs

EdUHK held the ‘Final Pitching of the Education+ and Social Entrepreneurs Fund (EASE Fund)’ on 9 March to determine the winning six start-up teams, comprising EdUHK students, staff or alumni, which will receive a wide range of entrepreneurial support worth HK$2 million in funding. The competition features the University’s first-ever collaboration with the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), in which 10 start-up teams will be selected to be based at the Hong Kong Science Park. EdUHK Launches Jockey Club Sports Empowering Programme

Thanks to The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust’s funding, the Department of Health and Physical Education (HPE) of EdUHK has launched the Jockey Club Sports Empowering Programme – the city’s first large-scale sports coaching programme integrating character education – with the support of Action Sports Foundation, the Hong Kong China Dragon Boat Association, Hong Kong Rugby Union, the Hong Kong Tennis Association and Hoops for Hope Basketball Asia. [A Real Success] Alumni Family Day 2023

Alumni, students and friends gathered at Tai Po Campus on 25 March for the long-awaited EdUHK Alumni Family Day 2023. We would like to thank all of you for your participation and for the support from various alumni associations, EdUHK academic units and affiliated schools. [Highlights] LEGO®SERIOUS PLAY® Teaching Application Workshop

The "LEGO®SERIOUS PLAY® Teaching Application Workshop was conducted on 24 February and concluded with great success. Under the guidance of instructor Mr Kit Wong, alumni used their creativity to build meaningful shapes and structures from blocks, before discussing and exchanging ideas on how to inspire students with these miniature bricks.
