Novel Air Purifiers Using New LED Activated Graphitic Carbon Nitride Photocatalyst

Webinar on “Design Thinking: Enhance Teachers’ Leadership and Practice”

To help teachers to keep abreast of the trends in the education sector and enhance their leadership skills and teaching practice through design thinking, the Alumni Affairs and Development Office organised a webinar on “Design Thinking: Enhance Teachers’ Leadership and Practice” on 15 May. The two speakers, Dr Elson Szeto Sing-ying (Assistant Professor of the Department of Education Policy and Leadership of EdUHK) and Alumna Rowena Cheung Po-man (Principal of Hong Kong Taoist Association Wun Tsuen School), explained the concepts of design thinking, using design thinking to construct or reconstruct teachers’ professional development pathway, as well as shared experience of applying design thinking in schools. Alumni participants not only benefited a lot from the webinar, but also understood that applying design thinking successfully would not happen overnight, and that it required more knowledge, participation and reflection.

Cooking Workshop

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, cooking at home has become the "new normal"; how to make more delicious food for family members is believed to be the "new mentality" of alumni. In view of this, the Alumni Affairs and Development Office (AADO) continues to organise cooking workshops. With the guidance of instructors, alumni can learn how to make festive food and dishes, and enhance their cooking skills. In addition to the "Dragon Boat Festival Rice Dumpling Workshop” on 29 May, AADO will organise another cooking workshop in July. Please stay tuned!
