Top Scientist Professor Wong Ming-hung Elected to Prestigious European Academy

 

Professor Wong Ming-hung, Advisor (Environmental Science) at the Department of Science and Environmental Studies of EdUHK, has been elected a Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA) in recognition of his sustained outstanding contributions to the field. His research areas include environmental toxicology, ecological restoration, and resource reuse.

EdUHK Initiative to Train Early Childhood Education Specialists in Cambodia

 

A new partnership has been launched between the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) and EdUHK, to extend the reach of the Higher Education Improvement Project. The project aims to address the growing demand for high quality early childhood education specialists in Cambodia and advance research and development in the field.

Alumni InterviewDual Career Pathway of Alumni Elite Athletes

 

EdUHK has been supporting and promoting the long-term development of local athletes. Close to 100 elite athletes have been admitted by the University since 2010. They can pursue higher education in a flexible environment that supports them in pursuing the dual career pathway.

 

AADO has recently interviewed the alumni elite athletes, former World Champion cyclist Wong Kam-po and windsurfer Cheng Kwok-fai. They have shared their learning experience and post-graduation aspirations. The interview video is now available on the AADO Facebook and YouTube channel.

HighlightsIntegrating Social Innovation and Service-learning

 

AADO presented the webinar on Integrating Social Innovation and Service-learning on 20 April 2022.

Social innovations address social needs and tackle the challenges in a more effective, efficient, sustainable and fairer way. Mr Kit Wong, founder of La Violet Education and Under Production, was invited to be our speaker. Kit shared his valuable experience in engaging students to build creative confidence and be ready to develop innovative approach on social innovation projects.

Participants took this valuable opportunity to learn how to equip students to become innovative problem solvers.

Forest school programme provides an opportunity for learner to develop themselves through healthy engagement with problem-solving and self-discovery in a natural setting. FLASS Virtual Information Days 2022 for Undergraduate Programmes

 

The Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (FLASS) will host Virtual Information Days on 24-25 May 2022 to introduce its Undergraduate Programmes, such as science and environment, social sciences, mathematics and information technology, cultural and creative arts, and health and physical education. Students and interested parties can take this opportunity to get the latest updates on different programmes and their selection criteria, followed by Q&A sessions.

Latest Arrangement for Alumni Regarding Campus Access and Facilities

In view of the latest situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, we would like to update you on the latest arrangements regarding access to campus and facilities.

 

Library

Alumni Members with valid “Library Borrower” or “Library Reader” cards may register at least two days in advance (excluding Sundays and holidays), on a first-come-first-served basis, for visiting the Mong Man Wai Library on Tai Po Campus or Tseung Kwan O Study Centre Library. Those who have not successfully registered in advance will not be allowed to enter the campus. Each cardholder must present his/her EdUHK Library Borrower/Library Reader card or JULAC Library Card at the main entrance of the campus and at the entrance/counter of the Library.

 

For online registration, campus access requirements imposed by the University and information on timeslot and daily quotas, please visit our website.

 

Other facilities

Other facilities will remain closed to Alumni until further notice.
