Launching Ceremony of “Animated Singalong Mathematics”

The Launching Ceremony of “Animated Singalong Mathematics”, organised by the EdUHK’s Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology (LTTC) and supported by the Alumni Affairs and Development Office, was held earlier. Funded by the Li Ka Shing Foundation, the “Animated Singalong Mathematics” was designed by an expert team at LTTC to introduce important mathematics concepts to primary school students through video series complemented by lively animation. Each video features catchy songs that are easy to sing and remember.

During the Ceremony, Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-leung, President of EdUHK, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the Li Ka Shing Foundation’s support and the LTTC expert team’s effort. The learning materials covers the mathematics curriculum primary one to primary six, for instance, measurement and distance for primary one, multiplication tables and angles for primary two. Two animated singalong mathematics videos were premiered at the Ceremony to give participants, including teachers, students, parents and alumni, a taste of this interactive way to master fundamental mathematical concepts.

The episodes of the video series are made available online for use by local schools and the general public for free in phases.  Please click here for details.
