Summer Baking Class

The “Summer Baking Class”, organised by the Alumni Affairs and Development Office and co-organised by The Graduate Association of Colleges of Education and The Education University of Hong Kong Past Students’ Association of Early Childhood Teacher Education, was completed with success on 20 July 2019. Under guidance of the tutor from Shun Hing Cooking Centre, a group of alumni made Souffle Pancakes and Tear and Share Bread. The class was filled with a joyful atmosphere.

The Alumni Affairs and Development Office is also thankful for the generosity of some alumni, whose on-the-spot donation to their alma mater supports the setting up of bursaries for their junior fellow students in need.

EdUHK Receives Generous Donation from the Tin Ka Ping Foundation

The University received another generous donation from the Tin Ka Ping Foundation (the Foundation) to enhance the existing Visiting Scholars Programme. The donation will allow the University’s Tin Ka Ping Education Fund, which was established in 2008, to further strengthen academic exchange and collaboration among higher education institutions in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

Attending the donation ceremony were Mr Sam Tin Hing-sin and Mr Tai Hay-lap, Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively, of the Foundation’s Board; Professor Cheng Yin-cheong, Advisory Board Chairman; Mr Tin Wing-sin, Director of the Foundation; Mr David Day, Chief Executive of the Foundation; and senior management members of EdUHK.

President Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-leung extended his sincere appreciation to Mr Sam Tin and the Foundation for their generous support for EdUHK over the years.

Mr Sam Tin said, “The enhancement of the Visiting Scholars Programme will enable the University to bring in new ideas and perspectives to foster research collaboration opportunities, while promoting innovative educational approaches in the Greater China region. We are confident to collaborate with EdUHK again in this regard.”
