Professor Thomas Piketty, world-leading economist and author of the bestselling book “Capital in the Twenty-First Century” (2013), gave a lecture on the increasing threat of rising inequality and wealth disparity amid globalisation on the campus of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) on 5 October 2018.

Professor Piketty’s talk kicked off EdUHK’s Distinguished Lecture Series in French Culture and Education organised jointly with the French Consulate-General. This high-level talk was sponsored by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.

When this year’s graduates returned to the campus to pick up their graduation gowns from 12 to 14 October 2018, Alumni Affairs and Development Office (AADO) took this opportunity to set up booths for three days to receive our fresh graduates and introduce to them alumni activities, services and other offers.

In addition, AADO is thankful to graduates who participated in the “EdUHK Graduation Bear Programme”. They made generous donations to support “The Education University of Hong Kong Foundation”. These funds will be used to support the academic development of the University and to provide more diverse learning opportunities for EdUHK students.
