Naming Ceremony of Mr and Mrs David T F Chow Lecture Theatre

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) held a naming ceremony for “Mr and Mrs David T F Chow Lecture Theatre” on 27 September 2017 to commend Mr David T F Chow, Founder and Managing Director of Easy Power Limited, on his generosity in supporting the advancement of the University.

Being a successful entrepreneur and having the spirit of “giving back to society as one takes from society”, Mr Chow has been a fervent donor over the years supporting medical services and education in Hong Kong. He has also set up an education fund to help build primary and secondary schools, and to help children in the mountainous areas in China to fulfil their dream of pursuing studies in secondary school and university. Mr Chow has been awarded, on separate occasions, Honorary Fellowship by The Professional Validation Council of Hong Kong Industries and The City University of Hong Kong in honour of his contribution to the ophthalmic industry and to education.

Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-leung, President of EdUHK, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for Mr Chow’s staunch support to The EdUHK Foundation and the University’s advancement. He pledged that the University would continue to assume its role in nurturing talents for the community and the education sector, as well as contributing to the society.
