Public Lecture on
"Building the Twenty-First Century Citizen:
Civic Education for Civic Engagement"

To improve civic education, we need to consider broad range of activities through which young people could pursue a public good, and where they often translate strong moral concerns into civic goals. A ‘new civics’ agenda recognizes the wide range of issues that motivate young people to civic engagement. Professor Haste will illustrate these arguments with data from the UK, China and South Africa.

教院人文學院舉辦的「後殖民與後遺民：華語語系文學研究的兩個面向」講座，邀得美國哈佛大學東亞語言與文明系Edward C. Henderson講座教授、蔣經國基金會校際漢學研究中心主任和晚清文學及現當代文學專家－王德威教授與大家交流意見和見解。
