Honorary Fellow Kwong Kai-to receives the “Presidential Award” from Japan’s 29th International Kakyou Calligraphy Exhibition

Congratulations to Dr Kwong Kai-to, Honorary Fellow of The Education University of Hong Kong and Chairman of the Rural Training College Alumni Association, on winning the “Presidential Award” from Japan’s 29th International Kakyou Calligraphy Exhibition!

Dr Kwong took part in the 29th International Kakyou Calligraphy Exhibition in Japan last year, wishing to bring the essence of Chinese calligraphy to Japan and exchange ideas with people in Japan who are interested in studying calligraphy. With a bold and unique calligraphy style, Dr Kwong’s exhibited works received the “Presidential Award” from the organiser.

In addition to this, the Rural Training College Alumni Association held the “Ding-you Year’s Spring Gala Dinner” on 1 March and the event was supported by all parties. Apart from Dr Kwong Kai-to, Chairman of the Rural Training College Alumni Association, and Mr Chu King-yuen, Vice Chairman, and other members of the Alumni Association, other guests included Professor John Lee Chi-kin, Vice President (Academic) of EdUHK; Ms Karen Cheung Shu-tai, Curator of Hong Kong Museum of Education; Dr Melina Iu, Head of Alumni Affairs and Development, as well as other EdUHK colleagues. Everyone spent a pleasant evening.
